Ben’s GoPro video – around the Ring in 2 minutes for a taster
Worcester Canoe Club invite you to take part in the fourth year of our special challenge event, the Worcester Ring Challenge.
You can choose either the 21 mile or 15 mile routes depending on your ambition, speed and boat.
The full 21 mile Ring departs from our clubhouse in Worcester, then joins the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, before paddling along the Droitwich Canals (which only reopened in 2011 following decades of campaigning and work by local people). On the way you will see Worcester Cathedral as you pass through the city, then out into the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. There are locks (lots of them), tunnels, weirs (to portage) and bridges, making it a great challenge event.
The event is fully supported and high quality. It will be timed and we will publish the results. Whether you want to try and get a quick time or just enjoy the challenge is up to you.
We look forward to welcoming K1 and K2 paddlers, cruisers and tourers, and maybe people just out for a pleasant paddle.
